Their hands are so intimate and moving.
My eyes got a little wet on this last panel.
She seems simultaneously oblivious, yet powerfully aware of and grateful for his care.

Lost to him, and lost without him.

I really love that horned creature. All that chaotic growth from an otherwise majestic being’s head.. perhaps not unlike its artist’s dilemma. And if the mother can dream up such horned self-expression, I do have to think again about dear Edgar’s existential status. 😀
